Paul Lawson

Attorney Paul Lawson is a native of Conway, SC, and is happy to be able to serve the citizens of the community he has always called home.

Paul received both his undergraduate degree and his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC. While in law school Paul discovered his love for the courtroom and went on to serve as the Chief Justice of the Mock Trial Bar. As a member of the Mock Trial Bar, Paul competed in competitions throughout the country.

Following law school, Paul moved back to his hometown of Conway and served as Law Clerk for the Honorable William H. Seals, Jr. of the South Carolina Circuit Court. Through this opportunity, he was exposed to a variety of civil and criminal cases and developed a great relationship with many of his fellow attorneys throughout Horry County and South Carolina. This hands-on experience was invaluable in providing Paul with an inside look at the judicial system.

After his clerkship, Paul was employed by a large state-wide civil defense law firm. Working mainly in the field of insurance litigation, he was able to gain an understanding of how insurance companies evaluate and process claims. Since that time, Paul has been working for clients involved with personal injury, criminal, real estate, and civil litigation matters.

In March of 2021 Paul open Lawson Law, LLC in Downtown Conway, SC where he is able to serve the community that raised him and provide its citizens with comprehensive and effective legal representation.

All of Paul’s experience has given him a unique understanding of both the South Carolina judicial system and the legal community as a whole. This experience allows Paul to be results-driven while providing his clients with professional, competent, and personal legal services.
When not in the office, Paul enjoys spending time with his wife Cara and daughter Anna Carolyn, cooking, traveling, being on the water, and cheering on the Gamecocks.
